ಸಿಹಿ ಸಿಹಿ ನಿದ್ದೆ............June 10, 2005 when Nishu was just 15 days old.

ನಂಗೆ ಅಳೋಕ್ಕೂ ಬರತ್ತೆ

Few of my friends complain that I always show them the happy , smiling pics of Nishu hiding all his bad moments from them. I have to confess that usually he will be in a good mood when I have camera in my hand (or vise versa?). Still I managed to take these 2 pics , one in Jan and the other one in March 2006 when he was crying and just finished crying. Doesn't he look cute anyway?




ಬರೀ ನಗ್ತಾ ಇರೋ ನಿಶು ಫೋಟೋಗಳ್ನೇ ತೋರಿಸ್ತೀಯ ನಮ್ಗೆ ಅಂತ complaint ಮಾಡೋವ್ರಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ತೋರಿಸೋಕ್ಕೆ ಎರಡೇ ಎರಡು ಅಳೋ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು- ನಿಶೂದು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಜಾನಪದ ಕಣಜದಿಂದ ಆಯ್ದ ಮೂರು ಮುತ್ತುಗಳು - ಅಳುವಾಗಲೂ ಮುದ್ದು ಸುರಿಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡೊ ಮ್ಯಾಜಿಕ್ ಗೊತ್ತಿರೋ ಎಲ್ಲ ಕಂದಮ್ಮಗಳಿಗೂ........

ಅಳುವ ಕಂದನ ತುಟಿಯು ಹವಳಾದ ಕುಡಿ ಹಂಗೆ
ಕುಡಿ ಹುಬ್ಬು ಬೇವೀನ ಎಸಳ್ಹಂಗೆ ಕಣ್ಣೋಟ
ಶಿವನ ಕೈಯಲುಗು ಹೊಳೆದಂಗೆ........

ಅತ್ತಾರೆ ಅಳಲವ್ವ ಈ ಕೂಸು ನಮಗಿರಲಿ
ಕೆಟ್ಟಾರೆ ಕೆಡಲಿ ಮನೆಗೆಲಸ ಹೊರೆಗೆಲಸ
ಮಕ್ಕಳಿರಲವ್ವ ನಿನ್ನಂಥಾ..........

ಯಾಕಳುವೆ ಎಲೆ ರಂಗ ಬೇಕಾದ್ದು ನಿನಗೇನು
ನಾಕೆಮ್ಮೆ ಕರೆದ ನೊರೆಹಾಲು ಸಕ್ಕರೆ
ನೀ ಕೇಳಿದಾಗೆಲ್ಲ ಕೊಡುವೇನೂ...........

ಈ ಹಾಡುಗಳ ಜೊತೆಗೇ ಅಣ್ಣಾವ್ರು ಕಾಮನ ಬಿಲ್ಲು-ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಡಿದ್ದ ಹಾಡಿನ ಎರಡು ಸಾಲು ನೆನೆಪಿಗೆ ಬರ್ತಿದೆ. ಮರೆತು ಹೋಗೋ ಮುಂಚೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜೊತೆ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಿಡ್ತೀನಿ.

May 26, 2005- ಡೆಲಿವರಿ ರೂಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಚದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದ ನಾನು ಡಾಕ್ಟರ್-ಗೆ ಹೇಳ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೆ, ನಿಶಾಂತ್ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಭಾಷೇಲಿ ಬೆಳಗಿನ ಜಾವ ಅನ್ನೊ ಅರ್ಥ ಇದೆ ಅಂತ. ಹಾಗೆ ಹೇಳ್ತಾ ನಿಶುಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಹೇಳೋಕೆ ನಾನು, ಭಾರ್ಗವ ಸಿದ್ಧ ಆಗ್ತಿದ್ದಿದ್ದು ಮಾತ್ರ ರಾತ್ರಿ ೧೦:೪೫ರ ಸುಮಾರಿನಲ್ಲಿ. ೧೦:೫೭ಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಜೀವಂತ ಗೊಂಬೆ ಅಷ್ಟೇನೂ ಸದ್ದೇಮಾಡದೆ(ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಎನಿಸುವಂತೆ ಅತ್ತ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿ) ನನ್ನ ಪಕ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂತು. ಮೊಟ್ಟ ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ನಿಶುಮರಿಯ ಕೆನ್ನೆ ಸವರಿದ ಕ್ರೆಡಿಟ್ ಇವನಿಗೇ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು ಯಾಕಂದ್ರೆ, ಅಷ್ಟು ದಿನ ಈ ಚಿನ್ನಮರಿಯನ್ನ ನನ್ನೊಳಗೇ ಇಟ್ಕೊಳ್ಳೋ ಖುಷಿ ನನಗೇ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತ್ತಲ್ಲ ಅಂತ.



This is one of the first few photos of Nishu when he arrived and watched with astonishment (it seemed so). He looked so sweet, so fresh and so dependent....I just couldn't hold my tears back. Bhargav was so much with me to share this moment and much more.

B or 8 or both? ಜಿಙ್ಞಾಸೆ

Nishu loves his books. I took this photo on Oct.12, 2005 when he was 4 months old. He started turning the pages of his books when he was barely 3 month old.
2 days back he showed me 'B' from his alphabet book and said 'B' and then pausing a moment he pointed it again with his index finger and said 'aayt' which means 8 in his language. There again I had one more proud and unbeleivable moment.

ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ನಿಶು, ಅವನ ಬೋರ್ಡ್ ಬುಕ್-ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಗ್ಲೀಶಿನ B ತೋರಿಸಿ `ಬಿ' ಅಂತ ಹೇಳಿದ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಅವನು ಕೆಲವುಅಕ್ಷರ, ಅಂಕಿಗಳನ್ನ ಗುರುತಿಸೋದು, ಹೇಳೋದು(ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಸಲ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ, ಎಲ್ಲೋ ಒಮ್ಮೊಮ್ಮೆ ತಪ್ಪಾಗಿ)ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರೋದ್ರಿಂದ ಅದು ವಿಶೇಷ ಅನ್ನಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ವಿಶೇಷ ಅನ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಅವನು ಮರುಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತೆ B ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಬೆಟ್ಟಿಟ್ಟು `ಆಯ್ಟ್'(ಅವನ ಭಾಷೇಲಿ ಅದು eight-8) ಅಂತ ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ.
ಮೇಲಿನ ಫೋಟೊ ಹೋದ ವರ್ಷ ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ ೧೨ರಂದು ತೆಗೆದಿದ್ದು. ಆಗಿನ್ನೂ ನಿಶು ೪ ತಿಂಗಳ ಹಸುಗೂಸು.

ನಾನು, ನನ್ ವಿಷ್ಯ.....

ನನ್ ಹೆಸ್ರು ನಿಶಾಂತ್ ಅಂತ. ನಮ್ಮನೆ ಇರೋದು ಬಾಸ್ಟನ್-ನಲ್ಲಿ. ಮನೇಲಿರೋದು ಅಪ್ಪ, ಅಮ್ಮ, ನಾನು ಮೂರೇ ಜನ. ಉಳಿದಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯವ್ರೆಲ್ಲ ಇರೋದು..ಅಂದ್ರೆ, ತಾತ, ಅಜ್ಜಿ, ಮಾವ, ಅತ್ತೆ, ದೊಡ್ಡಪ್ಪ, ದೊಡ್ಡಮ್ಮ, ಅಣ್ಣ, ಅಕ್ಕ,.....ಎಲ್ರೂ ಇರೋದು ಇಂಡಿಯಾ-ದಲ್ಲಿ. ಇವರಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲ, ನಮ್ಮ
ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು, ಗುರುತಿರುವವ್ರೂ, ಗುರುತಿಲ್ಲದವ್ರು, ಅವ್ರು,ಇವ್ರು ಎಲ್ಲ್ರೂ ನನ್ನ ಫೋಟೋಗಳ್ನ ಆಗಾಗ ನೋಡೋದಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ನನ್ನ activities ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಗಾಗ ಅವ್ರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸೋದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಂತ ಅಮ್ಮ ಈ ಬ್ಲಾಗ್ ಮಾಡಿದಾಳೆ. ನಾನು(!), ಅಮ್ಮ ಇಬ್ರೂ ಅಗಾಗ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದು ಅದೂ ಇದೂ ಹರಟ್ತಾ ಇರ್ತೀವಿ. ಈಗ ಸದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಇಷ್ಟು ಸಾಕು. ಯಾ.........ಕಂದ್ರೆ,ನಂಗೆ ನಿದ್ದೆ ಬರ್ತಿದೆ....ಹೋಗ್ಬೇಕು. ನ್ಯಾಪ್ ಟೈಮ್! ಆಮೇಲೆ ಸಿಗ್ತೀನಿ, ಓ.ಕೆ? ಬಾಯ್.......

Hi, It's me....Nishanth. My 'amma' and 'appa' calls me 'Nishu'. Amma says, I am the cutest baby in the whole world and Appa agrees. They really brags about me.....a lot. Wait and see!

welcome to Nishu mane!
Nishu is my 15 month old son. This is his 'mane', which means 'home' in 'kannada'- the sweet language that we speak at home.

Initially I thougt of making this blog entirely in kannada but then decided to do it in both Kannada and English. I would like to share my Nishu's pics and activities along with my thoughts with all who visit here. (Beware of the bragging!) I will appreciate your feedbacks in advance and hope you will enjoy it.
